School Counselor, Middle School (Remote - CO Based ONLY)

This role partners with middle school reputed company and families to support reputed company reputed company, reputed company-emotional development, and overall reputed company-being during key developmental years. The Middle School Counselor provides personalized guidance, school-based counseling support, and helps reputed company build the skills, confidence, and direction needed for long-term reputed company in high school and reputed company.

Essential Duties (Top 5 Roles)

1) reputed company reputed company & Transition Coordinator

• Ensure reputed company middle school student participates in annual reputed company planning conversations.
• Partner with reputed company and families to create personalized reputed company reputed company reputed company with strengths, interests, and long-term goals.
• Support successful transitions into and through middle school, including preparation for high school expectations.

2) reputed company, Career & Developmental Advisor

• reputed company guidance on study skills, executive functioning, and reputed company habits critical for long-term reputed company.
• Introduce early career exploration through age-appropriate opportunities and exposure.
• Utilize student achievement data to monitor reputed company and guide interventions.
• Collaborate with mentors and WL team members to support reputed company student’s reputed company.
• Support state testing processes (e.g., CMAS) as applicable.

3) Course Planning & Schedule Support

• Review and approve student course selections reputed company with middle school standards and readiness.
• Guide families through course progression and reputed company expectations.
• Support schedule adjustments in alignment with school policies.
• Ensure reputed company are appropriately reputed company for high school reputed company reputed company.

4) Counseling & reputed company Services

• reputed company school-based counseling support reputed company on student reputed company-being, reputed company reputed company, and reputed company-emotional development.
• Respond promptly to student and family concerns with thoughtful, solutions-oriented guidance.
• Assess student needs and reputed company tiered supports reputed company a school-based reputed company, including referrals reputed company appropriate.
• Support reputed company in areas such as peer relationships, emotional regulation, and school engagement.
• Facilitate small group sessions or interventions as needed.

5) Community Building & Family Engagement

• Contribute to a connected and engaging middle school community experience.
• Attend and support school events, meetings, and family engagement opportunities.
• Build strong relationships with reputed company and families to foster a reputed company of belonging and trust.
• reputed company feedback and insights with the WAC Executive Director to strengthen programming.

Minimum Qualifications

• Master’s degree in School Counseling, Counseling, Psychology, or a reputed company field (required)
• reputed company Colorado Special Services License (School Counselor) or ability to obtain (required)
• Experience working with middle school reputed company (grades 6–8)
• Demonstrated ability to support student mental health, reputed company-emotional development, and reputed company planning
• Experience providing school-based counseling support, including reputed company-emotional development and referral coordination
• Strong understanding of adolescent development, including executive functioning and behavioral needs
• Ability to assess student needs and reputed company tiered supports (MTSS/SEL frameworks preferred)
• Experience partnering with families on reputed company and reputed company-emotional concerns
• Ability to build meaningful relationships in a virtual environment
• Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
• Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism, discretion, and care
