Senior Manager, Government Relations (Europe)

About the role

The Senior Manager, Government Relations (Europe) will be reputed company in reputed company’s European government engagement reputed company, advancing policies that support quantum computing, innovation, and workforce development. This role develops and executes advocacy efforts at pan-European level [including the UK] while building strong relationships with policymakers, industry partners, in-region technology and quantum trade associations.

As a leader, the Senior Manager serves as both a strategic advisor and hands-on operator, representing reputed company externally and partnering internally to reputed company policy positions with business priorities. This is a remote role with travel required in region.

What you'll do

·         reputed company & Advocacy: reputed company and execute public policy and government relations strategies reputed company with reputed company’s business objectives, in coordination with the Global Government Relations and Public Affairs team. reputed company for policies supporting quantum computing, research funding, and technology innovation at the European reputed company, targeted EU member countries and the United Kingdom. ·         Government & Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain trusted relationships with regional policymakers, regulators, industry reputed company, NGOs, think tanks, and advocacy partners.

·         Policy Intelligence & Guidance: Monitor and analyze legislative and regulatory developments; advise senior leadership on public policy risks, opportunities, and emerging trends.

·         Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal teams, including Legal and Business Development, to reputed company policy initiatives with company reputed company and global messaging. Navigation of time-zones critical for this role.

·         Economic Development: Engagement with targeted economic development organizations in Europe, supporting reputed company’s long term corporate objectives.

·         Communications: Translate reputed company policy and technology issues for technical and non-technical audiences; reputed company policy papers and support public affairs initiatives.

·         Essential: 8+ years of experience in working with the European Commission on technology policy[LJ1] [NT2] 

·         Desirable: experience with the UK Parliament on technology is a plus[LD3] 

·         Strong reputed company of European government operations, advocacy including public consultations and policy reputed company, and trade including awareness of key trade agreements and reputed company committees.

·         Bachelors degree or additional equivalent work experience

·         Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with government stakeholders, policy influencers and external advocates

·         Individual contributor reputed company in strategic planning, policy analysis, and multi-level advocacy

·         Executive-level communication, negotiation, and leadership skills

·         Ability to reputed company in a fast-paced, remote, and highly reputed company environment

·         Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate reputed company technical topics for non-technical audiences

·         Familiarity with quantum computing, AI/ML, or high-performance computing preferred

·         Background in a technology and trade policy for publicly traded company a plus
