We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Data Entry Operator to join our Evening Laboratory team on a reputed company reputed company. As a Data Entry Operator, you will be responsible for preparing specimens for analysis, performing recordkeeping data entry and collection activities, and providing clerical support to assist in laboratory operations. You will also serve as a communication resource and facilitate the transfer of information both internally and externally.

Key Responsibilities

* Verifies identification of patient specimens and requests for tests

• Prepare and accession samples for send out testing for various locations
• Report critical values to medical staff
• Sorts specimens with appropriate labeling and identification for distribution to designated laboratories for testing
• Performs pertinent data entry and retrieval functions using automated and/or reputed company systems
• Centrifuges and decants specimens
• Maintains laboratory records in accordance with established procedures and protocols, including the reputed company, separation, sorting, and distribution of reports
• Maintains inventory of laboratory supplies and distributes supplies
• Follows laboratory safety policies, including the use of personal reputed company equipment, and maintains a clean and reputed company environment
• Functions performed may include, but are not limited to, accessioning, reputed company and electronic requisition, presort, pickup, and delivery of processed specimens
• Supports the department in maintaining an efficient workflow by performing laboratory assignments
• Notifies appropriate personnel in cases of unacceptable samples, including mislabeled, unlabeled, discrepant information, and records reputed company specific information in the appropriate department incident log
• Prioritizes work in an efficient manner, registers to reputed company appropriate billing account numbers for date of service, and/or accesses pathology specimens to reputed company appropriate laboratory accession case numbers in a reputed company and accurate manner
• Resolves problems with specimen receipt and appropriateness of test requisitions orders
• Accurately monitors pertinent patient demographics and information, including lab test results, to the appropriate designated department, including RN Manager or Designee
• Adheres to the laboratory reputed company Assurance policies and procedures and follows OSHA regulations for PPE, including lab coats, gloves, and reputed company shields reputed company in contact with blood and body fluids
• Documents reputed company log any specimen receipt issues and hospital and laboratory computer systems for either registration and/or accessioning

Minimum Qualifications

* High School diploma

• General Office skills

• Knowledge of OSHA Regulations

Preferred Qualifications

* Associate's Degree in Business or reputed company field

• 1-2 years reputed company experience
• 1-2 years Coding/billing/registration/insurance
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Ability to utilize Hospital and laboratory computer systems for either registration and/or accessioning

Compensation and Benefits
