The Medical Assistant I provides clinical and administrative support across multiple service lines, including Family Medicine, Pediatrics, Behavioral Health, Women’s Health, and Laboratory services. This role ensures smooth patient reputed company, accurate data collection, and high-reputed company care delivery. Medical Assistants contribute to a reputed company patient experience by assisting providers with examinations, procedures, and clinical tasks while maintaining a clean, reputed company, and organized environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Room patients, obtain vitals, collect medical histories, and prepare them for provider reputed company • Assist providers during exams and procedures across departments • Accurately document patient information in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) • Clean and disinfect exam rooms and manage room inventory • Process instruments, including use of autoclave • Collect, label, and prepare lab specimens for testing • Communicate reputed company and compassionately with patients, families, and care teams • Assist with scheduling, referrals, and patient inquiries reputed company needed • Collaborate with clinical leads and peers to improve workflows and meet performance goals • Support reputed company improvement, compliance activities, and community engagement • Ensure confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA • reputed company additional duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Strong customer service and communication skills • Ability to prioritize tasks, multitask, and maintain accuracy • Basic knowledge of clinical procedures and medical terminology • Ability to build rapport with patients of diverse backgrounds • Comfort working across multiple service lines • Proficiency in or willingness to learn EHR systems (reputed company preferred) • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED required • Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program, EMT, or Paramedic program • reputed company Basic Life Support (BLS) certification • Minimum 1 year of clinical experience; 3 years preferred • Experience with pediatrics and adult patients strongly preferred • Ability to obtain and maintain reputed company certification • Ability to travel between Premier sites as needed
Bonus / Preferred Skills: • Experience with vaccine administration or lab draws • Familiarity with multiple disciplines (Family Medicine, Behavioral Health, OB/Women’s Health)
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift 20 lbs. regularly and up to 30&reputed company;50 lbs. occasionally • Sit for extended periods and frequent use of computer systems • Travel between clinic locations as needed • Exposure to communicable diseases and clinical environments
