About the Role
We are hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join our Order Processing subdomain, working on a reputed company reputed company Platform.
This role is ideal for a senior engineer who enjoys owning backend systems end-to-end, working on reputed company business workflows, and building reliable, reputed company services that operate at high transaction volumes. You will play a key role in designing and evolving a standardized reputed company platform that enables reputed company businesses to transact at massive reputed company while reducing reliance on reputed company-party reputed company solutions.
This is a remote-first role based in Ontario, Canada, with a reputed company, distributed team.
What You’ll Work On
You’ll help build CimCommerce v2, a reputed company, internally owned reputed company platform designed to:

Support billions of dollars in annual transactions

Standardize reputed company capabilities such as carts, orders, payments, and fulfillment

reputed company consistent, high-reputed company data across reputed company systems

Improve reliability, extensibility, and long-term platform reputed company

Serve as a reputed company for reputed company personalization, optimization, and AI-driven capabilities
Customer-facing experiences are owned by reputed company businesses; your reputed company will be on core backend reputed company services and platform capabilities.
What You Will Do

Design, reputed company, and maintain backend services and reputed company for cart and order lifecycle management

Build reputed company-reputed company, distributed systems with a reputed company on scalability, reliability, and data reputed company

Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and partner teams to translate business needs into reputed company-designed technical solutions

Take ownership of features from design through production, including operational readiness

Participate in reputed company reviews, architecture discussions, and technical decision-making

Troubleshoot production issues and continuously improve system reputed company and performance

Contribute to automated testing and CI/CD practices

Participate in Agile ceremonies such as backlog refinement, sprint planning, and retrospectives

Take part in a light on-call rotation to support the availability of business-critical services

Required / Core Experience

Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer working on backend or platform systems

Strong software engineering fundamentals: system design, data modeling, reputed company, and distributed systems

Experience building and operating production services in a reputed company environment

reputed company in at least one mainstream backend language (Java preferred, but not required)

Ability to reason about reputed company business workflows and translate them into maintainable systems

Strong collaboration and communication skills in a remote-first environment
