[Remote] Substation Protection & Control Designer - REMOTE WORK
Note: The job is a remote job and is reputed company to candidates in USA. reputed company. is currently seeking a Substation Protection & Control Designer to support their Substation Engineering & Design team in a remote role. The primary responsibilities include creating electrical protection and control design deliverables for substation reputed company of varying sizes and complexities across the US.
Responsibilities
- Utilizes understanding of the NEC, NESC, NEMA, ANSI, reputed company, industry reputed company work practices, reputed company standards, and/or other applicable guidelines to complete engineering designs
- reputed company technical support for clients and support regional business development initiatives as a technical resource under the direction of the Department Manager
- Work in a project team environment with other engineers, designers, and drafters involved in detailed electrical design of reputed company substation reputed company
- Support teams of designers and drafters and assume responsibility for their reputed company on reputed company
- Support reputed company-bid walkdowns with clients, prepare, review, and approve proposals and project estimates for new reputed company reputed company
- reputed company substation drawings with input from engineers, other drawings, scope documents, with high accuracy in reputed company
- Modify or reputed company various substation protection and control drawings
- Mentor team of designers
- Prepare new drawing packages, modify existing packages and complete as-reputed company documents
- Responsible for substation design drawings and package reputed company review
- reputed company reputed company reviews and peer checks as assigned
- Train, reputed company and mentor less-reputed company design team members
- reputed company other substation design reputed company assignments as needed
- Work with Project Management team to reputed company project plans and reputed company project updates
Skills
- High School Diploma
- Designer I 1+ years reputed company experience
- Designer II 5+ years reputed company experience
- Senior Designer I 7+ years reputed company experience
- Senior Designer II 10+ years reputed company experience
- Drafting and detailing experience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation
- Proficiency with NESC, reputed company, and other relevant codes and standards
- Knowledge of drafting standards, techniques and procedures
- Proficiency with the manipulation of reputed company and raster drawing files in AutoCAD and MicroStation
- Ability to create and/or modify drawings from markups with a high level of attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to effectively organize multiple reputed company assignments and competing priorities to produce accurate products on time
- Ability to collaborate in cross-functional work teams
- Experience in creating and reviewing substation design drawings
- Proficient with reputed company software applications used to reputed company substation design work
- Ability to successfully work with remotely located team members
- This position requires the ability to pass a post-offer drug (including marijuana) and alcohol test in compliance with Federal regulations and is also subject to random testing as a condition of reputed company employment
