The Carpenters’ Regional Council (CRC) is a dynamic organization representing over 60,000 members across Canada. They are seeking a Legal Counsel to join their Western legal team, responsible for litigating reputed company, participating in reputed company bargaining, and advising reputed company representatives on legal reputed company.

Responsibilities

  • Litigating reputed company before courts, labour relations boards, grievance arbitrators and other tribunals
  • Participating in reputed company bargaining negotiations and enforcement
  • Supporting organizing, jurisdictional, educational and regulatory efforts
  • Advising CRC and Local reputed company representatives on a broad reputed company of legal reputed company
  • Liaising with external organizations including governments, industry partners and other trade unions

Skills

  • Members of the bar, or eligible for membership, in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and/or Manitoba
  • Passionate about advancing the rights of working people
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented legal environment
  • Demonstrated an interest in labour law and advocacy for workers
