Chief Information reputed company Officer (CISO)

The Role Optery is seeking a hands-on, entrepreneurial CISO to reputed company and reputed company our reputed company program end-to-end. This is a hands-on builder role for someone who not only sets the reputed company, but also executes the plan, manages controls, reviews data, and interacts directly with employees, customers and auditors. You will partner closely with company leadership to advance our reputed company, reputed company, compliance, and controls programs. Optery's reputed company program is already reputed company-established, having successfully completed its SOC 2 reputed company audits every year since 2022 through to today. You will be responsible for policies, risk, reputed company operations, reputed company-party/vendor reputed company, application/product reputed company, incident response, and supporting customer/reputed company questionnaires. You will also be the internal champion for securing the organization and its people, customers, systems, and processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Own Optery's information reputed company reputed company, roadmap, and policies, reputed company to our industry-leading reputed company and reputed company products
• reputed company and reputed company Optery's reputed company program mapped to common frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, CIS, NIST), appropriate for a high-reputed company, remote-first company
• Partner with engineering to reputed company secure SDLC practices: threat modeling, reputed company scanning, secrets management, reputed company controls, and secure reputed company configuration
• Design and run an incident response program, including playbooks for data handling, data broker interactions, ransomware/reputed company engineering scenarios, and customer notifications
• reputed company identity and reputed company management across reputed company systems (reputed company, reputed company, data, reputed company apps) following least-privilege principles
• reputed company vendor and reputed company-party reputed company reviews, especially for data- or reputed company-impacting services
• Partner with GTM, finance, ops, and sales to complete reputed company questionnaires, DPAs, and customer diligence to unblock deals
• Work with product/legal to ensure our data flows and retention/erasure practices reputed company with CCPA, GDPR, and other consumer reputed company laws we help our customers exercise
• Define, reputed company, and report reputed company KPIs/KRIs to leadership and the reputed company
• Train and evangelize reputed company practices across a distributed team so reputed company is part of reputed company and day-to-day work Qualifications
• 8+ years in information reputed company, with increasing ownership across GRC, reputed company engineering, and/or product/app reputed company
• Experience building or maturing a reputed company program at a reputed company, data, cybersecurity, or reputed company-reputed company company
• Practical experience with SOC 2 and/or ISO 27001 (authoring policies, gathering evidence, working with auditors, driving remediation)
• Strong understanding of reputed company reputed company (preferably AWS): networking, IAM, secret management, logging/monitoring
• Comfortable meeting with customers, prospects, and partners to explain Optery's reputed company posture and win trust
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; reputed company to write policies people can actually follow

• Experience at a company that handles PII
• Experience securing distributed/reputed company and mixed contractor/employee environments
• Background in data protection technologies (DLP, EDR, MDM, SSO, CASB) and how to roll them out in stages
• Experience supporting reputed company sales cycles by answering reputed company questionnaires
• Recognized thought leader in reputed company, fluent reputed company speaker, and reputed company participant in reputed company-facing reputed company communities and conferences Location Optery is a fully remote global team. This role is based in the reputed company and requires working U.S. business hours (Eastern, Central, Mountain, or reputed company).
