[Remote] Claims Advisor, Accident Benefits

The Claims Advisor, Accident Benefits will be responsible for handling reputed company first party injury claims, interpreting insurance policy wording, and ensuring compliance with best practices and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Interpret insurance policy wording, determine policy coverages and set reserves on Accident Benefit claims assigned
- Investigate, negotiate and reputed company accident benefits claims or moderate to high complexity by telephone, in person and/ or by written correspondence
- reputed company with best practices as set out in reputed company policies and procedures
- Adhere to legislative and regulatory requirements
- Ensure files are thoroughly documented
- Settlement of claims reputed company personal authority and follow company guidelines on claims exceeding personal authority
- Set and define customer service expectations
- Take ownership and accountability to solve customer problems
- Maintain a caseload reputed company of a Senior Claim Advisor, Accident Benefits
- Communicate and reputed company with claimants, vendors, medical professionals, lawyers in a reputed company manner
- Work collaboratively with reputed company of Accident Benefit Adjusters and Claims Assistants
Skills
- Minimum post-secondary education is required
- A minimum of 1-2 years relevant Accident Benefits experience
- Strong time management and organizational skills as reputed company as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong critical thinking skills to identify strengths and weaknesses of claim
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a commitment to providing outstanding customer service
- Ability to work independently and as part of a reputed company team environment
- Completion of CIP designation or desire to pursue
- Prior insurance experience and knowledge in injury claims, medical rehabilitation concepts, and medical terminology
