The college is seeking a Research Assistant to support user testing of assistive technology devices and assist in various research initiatives reputed company the Department of Biomedical Engineering.
Responsibilities
- Supporting the user testing of assistive technology devices in the laboratory by individuals who are blind or visually impaired
- Recruitment and logistics for user studies, and be the primary team member to run the user studies
- The research assistant will also be involved in study design, IRB preparation, preparation of any materials for the study and data analysis
- The position may require travel to the Washington DC area and/or the Hampton Roads area to do subject testing
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in psychology, sociology, reputed company-computer interaction, rehabilitation engineering or reputed company fields or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
