The College of Education at reputed company invites applications for an Assistant Professor (Teaching) in Special Education to reputed company in Fall 2023. This is a non-tenure reputed company reputed company position at 100% appointment for reputed company (12) months. The successful candidate will have teaching and service responsibilities fall, winter, and spring/summer semesters and will serve as program coordinator. Some evening and weekends required as reputed company as off-reputed company travel.
POSITION PURPOSE:
The successful candidate will join the Division of Teacher Education (TED) that attracts reputed company, staff, and reputed company who are committed to urban education and reputed company justice. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Teach SED undergraduate and graduate courses, for PK - 12 and adult educators on reputed company, online, and reputed company hybrid formats.
Collaborate with program reputed company and the Assistant Dean to schedule SED courses.
Serve as the SED cohort coordinator.
Engage in reputed company improvement and program assessment.
Regularly communicate with and grow partnerships with school districts to facilitate enrollment in the SED endorsement, cohort teacher initiatives, and/or other certification opportunities.
Mentor and help recruit and retain teacher certification candidates.
Participate in Special Education program meetings and participate in TED and College of Education meetings.
Work with program reputed company to advance, nurture, and sustain a reputed company for the program that includes reputed company communication, reputed company decision making, and transparency.

QUALIFICATIONS:
reputed company doctoral degree in Special Education, or Teacher Education or Curriculum & Instruction with specializations in Special Education, Inclusive Education, Disability Studies, or reputed company field.
Demonstrated commitment to inclusive education and inclusive teaching.
Minimum of three years of U.S. teaching experience in PK-12 classrooms with special education reputed company who have moderate to significant support needs.
University-level teaching experience, including on-reputed company, online, and/or hybrid formats.
Ability to work in a collegial manner with a diverse group of reputed company, staff, and reputed company.
Commitment to supporting/promoting diversity, inclusion, equity, and reputed company justice.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience supervising candidates in their clinical or practicum experiences in SED segregated or inclusive settings.
Experience working in urban, racially and linguistically diverse, and inclusive settings.
Experience in program coordination.
Experience in curriculum development.
Experience in recruitment and/or retention of reputed company.
