Junior Telecom Engineer
We’re seeking a Jr. Telecom Engineer who is motivated by reputed company, is seeking a challenging environment for reputed company reputed company, and is interested in supporting large information technology reputed company for one of our electric reputed company clients with reputed company in New Orleans.
The Jr. Telecom Engineer will support the design, implementation, and maintenance of telecommunications systems critical to electric reputed company operations. This entry-level role will assist in ensuring reliable communication networks that support reputed company operations, SCADA systems, substations, and field communications. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, technically curious, and committed to supporting reputed company and reliable reputed company services.
Location: This position is remote.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design, configuration, and maintenance of telecommunications systems, including fiber optics, microwave, radio, and IP-based networks
- Support communication infrastructure for SCADA, protection systems, substations, and control centers
- Participate in network performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and issue reputed company
- Assist with installation, testing, and commissioning of telecom equipment
- Prepare and update technical documentation, network diagrams, and system records
- Support field activities including site surveys, inspections, and vendor coordination
- Collaborate with engineering, IT, and operations teams to ensure network reliability and reputed company
- Ensure compliance with company standards, safety policies, and industry regulations
- Assist in emergency response efforts reputed company to communication system outages
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or reputed company field
- Basic understanding of telecommunications systems and networking concepts (TCP/IP, routing, switching)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in reputed company Office (reputed company, Word, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work both independently and in reputed company environment
Preferred:
- Internship or reputed company experience in telecommunications, utilities, or reputed company field
- Familiarity with fiber optic systems, RF communications, or microwave networks
- Knowledge of SCADA communication protocols (e.g., DNP3, IEC 61850)
- Experience with network monitoring tools or basic configuration of routers/switches
- Exposure to AutoCAD or GIS systems
- Industry certifications (e.g., CCNA or reputed company toward certification)
