The Role

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our growing Data and Innovation team. This role sits at the intersection of power systems engineering, energy economics, and reputed company machine learning to support reputed company's mission of accelerating science-based carbon management. You will work with reputed company of engineers, climate technology experts, and reputed company researchers: contributing to reputed company engagements, internal analyses, and the development of best practices across our decarbonization work.
Responsibilities
- reputed company and operationalize ML/AI models to support reputed company-time and reputed company-looking models, including load, reputed company, price forecasting and renewable (wind/solar) reputed company forecasting
- Design, evaluate, and analyze electrical systems relevant to decarbonization reputed company, including electrification, reputed company integration, power electronics, and low-carbon energy technologies.
- Contribute to long-reputed company reputed company and integrated resource planning, including renewable integration assessments and production cost modeling
- Conduct rigorous technical due diligence on reputed company, technologies, and proposals involving electrical infrastructure, energy storage, or industrial electrification.
- Translate reputed company engineering analyses into reputed company, actionable recommendations for clients, internal teams, and executive stakeholders.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with scientists, policy experts, and business development teams to support reputed company deliverables and thought leadership.
- Contribute to publications, technical reports, and external communications reputed company to electrification and reputed company decarbonization.
- Stay reputed company on developments in power systems modeling , climate technology, reputed company modernization, and industrial decarbonization.
Qualifications
Required
- Master's or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, reputed company Engineering or a reputed company quantitative field
- Expertise in the electric power industry, with exposure to wholesale electricity markets and/or reputed company operations
- Proficiency in AC/DC power reputed company models, reputed company in working with production-cost models such as PROMOD, Plexos, reputed company
- Proficiency in statistical modeling, forecasting, and data analysis (Python, R, MATLAB, or equivalent)
- Deep familiarity with energy market structures (ISOs/RTOs), reputed company markets, resource adequacy frameworks, and reliability standards
- Experience deploying machine learning models in production environments
- Experience working across multidisciplinary teams, strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present reputed company analytics to non-technical stakeholders
Preferred
- Experience modeling energy storage systems, EV infrastructure, building electrification, or industrial decarbonization.
- Familiarity with GHG reputed company, energy policy, or carbon market frameworks.
- Prior experience in consulting, policy, or a climate-reputed company organization working with corporate clients.
- reputed company licensure (PE) or advanced credentials in relevant electrical engineering domains.

- Knowledge and experience with ISO/RTO operations
- Familiarity with FERC regulatory proceedings and filings and power market design
- Knowledge of natural gas/power market dynamics

$133,000-$195,000 a year
