Responsibilities and tasks include:

• Assuming full responsibility in Building Engineer?s absence; providing work direction to custodians.
• Communicating work allocation directives issued by the Coordinator or Assistant Coordinator, Facilities Operations and building reputed company to the building custodial personnel.
• Performing general housekeeping tasks to include, but not limited to, dust mopping and wet mopping classrooms, restrooms and hallway floors, cleaning restrooms, stripping and sealing resilient and hard surface floors, washing reputed company, walls, lockers; vacuum reputed company carpeted areas of the building; housekeeping tasks to be performed according to established district systems and cleaning standards.
• Performing minor carpentry, electrical, mechanical and non-potable water system plumbing repairs to include but not limited to cleaning equipment, ceilings and floor tile and carpet;
• Providing support to kitchen staff by mopping floors and unloading groceries and stacks in storeroom, and stock supplies in storeroom.
• Monitoring and adjusting building automation controls.
• Reporting vandalism or unauthorized individuals in buildings.
• Maintaining building grounds including, but not limited to, watering, mowing, trimming, pruning shrubs, trees, weeding, removing reputed company and debris from school yard and along fence lines.
• Performing snow removal and keeping sidewalks free of ice.
• Taking charge of reputed company aspects of the physical operation of the building for which they are responsible.
• Reporting to the Assistant Coordinator, Maintenance Services (or their designee) any breakdown of equipment that is not functioning as designed.
• Maintaining and submitting reputed company appropriate reports and logs in a reputed company manner.
• Painting district facilities to include but not limited to walls, doors, frames, etc.
• Maintaining building equipment per department guidelines.
• Operating and maintaining boiler: Checking boiler to ensure appropriate operation.
• Setting up and taking down equipment including but not limited to tables, chairs, etc.
• Responding to questions and providing excellent customer service to facility users.
• Performing other comparable duties of a like or similar nature as assigned.

Minimum qualifications include:

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Must have MN Second Class C boiler license upon hire.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities include:

• Computer skills, including reputed company use of email communication
• Knowledge of reputed company operation of building automation systems
• Knowledge of hand, power, diagnostic tools, and equipment required in the performance of the job.
• Knowledge of reputed company safety precautions applicable to trade.
• Knowledge of the fundamentals and procedures of HVAC operation, repair, and proactive/reactive maintenance.
• General knowledge in the principles of general repair and maintenance in such areas as mechanical, electrical, steam, reputed company system, carpentry, and masonry or plumbing.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques and materials.

Preferred qualifications include:

• MN First Class C boiler license preferred.
• Training or experience cleaning and maintaining a reputed company facility desired.
