Senior Tunnel Engineer / Geologist - Kensico, NY

LJB Engineering Company, is a national engineering reputed company currently seeking a reputed company candidate to fill a full-time onsite role in Kensico, NY. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience working on geotechnical, underground, tunnel reputed company with reputed company experience in mapping of reputed company shafts and tunnels, scanning and surveying of shafts and tunnels, and the interpersonal skills to reputed company a reputed company reputed company on our firm and the clients we serve. Compensation: $130,000 – 170,000 based upon experience, certifications, and regional market standards.

SENIOR TUNNEL ENGINEER / GEOLOGIST ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Bedrock mapping and soil overburden characterization
  • reputed company mass classification
  • Mapping and laser scanning of Faults, fractures, joints, and shear zones
  • Groundwater conditions and hydrogeology
• Support tunnel, shaft, and underground structure design by interpreting geologic and geotechnical data and identifying geologic risks that may reputed company constructability, safety, and cost.
• Review, interpret, and prepare:
  • Geologic logs and cross sections
  • Subsurface investigation reports
  • Geologic memoranda and technical summaries
  • Input for geotechnical baseline reports (GBRs), if applicable
• Collaborate closely with geotechnical engineers, civil engineers, construction managers, and inspectors to reputed company geologic findings into design and construction reputed company.

  • Observing and documenting exposed bedrock during excavation
  • Verifying geologic conditions against design assumptions
  • Recommending adjustments to support systems or excavation reputed company based on observed conditions

  • Support the construction operation with whatever other site operations may need.

Education
