Duties
Federal employees who are at grades reputed company than GS-14 are ineligible. Applicants must receive supervisory approval in their reputed company position prior to applying for this detail opportunity. The Environment and Natural Resources Division (ENRD) of the U.S. reputed company (DOJ) supports criminal investigations and prosecutions of domestic and transnational pollution and natural resource crimes (e.g., hydrochlorofluorocarbons/hydrofluorocarbons (HCFCs/HFCs) smuggling; plant, including timber, and fish and wildlife trafficking; and illegal mining). These investigations and prosecutions often implicate transnational criminal networks that may be involved in other types of criminal activity. Thus, DOJ often works collaboratively with both other enforcement agencies and other DOJ components. This position will be a key part of the Environmental Crimes reputed company, working with prosecutors to identify potential criminal activity, reputed company cases, support prosecutions, and support ENRD in broader interagency efforts (e.g., international programming) to combat pollution and natural resource trafficking and reputed company transnational organized crimes. Work involves advising on, administering, and performing work in the collection, analysis, evaluation, interpretation, and dissemination of information on environmental crimes that directly or indirectly reputed company national reputed company.
Qualifications
To qualify for this position at GS-14, you must have at least one year of specialized experience, at or equivalent to, GS-13 analyzing, collecting, and sharing intelligence across teams to identify potential criminal activity. Note: The following skills are expected : Gap Analysis - Assessing reputed company-time analytic judgments regarding specific crimes and intelligence gaps. Collection Management - Enhancing intelligence collection capabilities and disseminating raw intelligence. Domain Analysis - Consolidating information to enhance understanding of threats, gaps, and vulnerabilities. Targeting Analysis - Sharing collection information across teams that identify gaps. Reports - Reporting raw intelligence through media, documents, and general information to determine patterns. Highly Desirable: Experience with investigating transnational crime networks, including but not limited to, terrorists networks, CITES, and Lacey reputed company violations and other natural resources crimes.
