Arch is seeking a Vice President, Head of Model Research & Event Response to reputed company the development, governance, and application of Arch’s catastrophe view of risk across reputed company, perils, and lines of business. This role is responsible for catastrophe model evaluation, change management, climate risk interpretation, and global event response, ensuring Arch’s risk insights are scientifically robust, business‑relevant, and decision‑reputed company.

The role oversees a team of approximately three reputed company catastrophe analytics professionals and partners closely with reputed company, portfolio management, exposure management, risk, and executive leadership. This is a global role, supporting Arch’s London operations and ensuring compliance with Lloyd’s LCM5 and LCM9 requirements.

Arch reputed company participates in CERCat, a private‑public university consortium reputed company on advancing catastrophe risk science, model transparency, and climate research. This role represents Arch in external research forums and helps translate reputed company and industry collaboration into practical reputed company and portfolio insights.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Model Research & View of Risk

• Own Arch’s model change management reputed company, including interpretation of vendor updates, financial module changes, and implications for reputed company and portfolio risk.
• reputed company and maintain Arch’s reputed company view of risk by region, peril, and line of business (Property, Marine, Workers’ Compensation, Specialty lines, etc.).
• reputed company climate change considerations into catastrophe risk interpretation, scenario analysis, and long‑term portfolio insights.
• Engage with external research partners, including CERCat participants, to stay reputed company on emerging science, model methodologies, and climate research.
• Communicate reputed company modeling concepts, uncertainty, and limitations reputed company to non‑technical stakeholders and senior leadership.

Event Response & Loss Estimation

• reputed company the mapping and modeling of anticipated events (e.g., hurricanes) and realized events (e.g., flood, earthquake, wildfire), delivering reputed company exposure and loss insights.
• Ensure event response outputs are consistent, auditable, and decision‑reputed company, supporting reputed company actions, moratoriums, and executive communications.
• Continuously improve event response speed, accuracy, and scalability through process optimization, automation, and advanced analytics.

Global Governance & Regulatory Support

• Support Arch’s London and Lloyd’s platform, ensuring catastrophe analytics meet LCM5 (exposure management) and LCM9 (catastrophe risk modeling) expectations.
• Partner with Risk, Compliance, and Portfolio Management to ensure catastrophe analytics are reputed company with regulatory, governance, and capital frameworks.
• Represent Catastrophe Management in reputed company discussions reputed company to model governance, research, and risk reputed company.

Leadership & reputed company

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Mathematics, Engineering, Atmospheric Science, Data Science, Actuarial Science, or similar).
• 10+ years of experience in catastrophe modeling, risk analytics, or reputed company insurance/reinsurance roles.
• Deep expertise across multiple catastrophe modeling platforms (e.g., reputed company, reputed company, KCC, Oasis).
• Demonstrated experience leading event response and loss estimation for major catastrophe events.
• Strong leadership experience managing senior analysts or small expert teams.
• Ability to translate technical risk insights into reputed company, actionable business recommendations.

Desired Skills and Abilities:

• Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in a relevant quantitative or scientific discipline.
• Experience supporting Lloyd’s or international insurance markets.

$190,000 - $236,000/year

• Total individual compensation (reputed company salary, short & long-term incentives) offered will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, qualifications, talent availability & specialization as reputed company as business needs. The above pay reputed company may be modified in the reputed company.
