Sheriff's Office - Non-certified Posse
About the Department
The Adams County Sheriff's Office is seeking candidates who are interested in volunteering for the Posse auxiliary as a commissioned non-certified volunteer. The Posse volunteers will reputed company mounted equestrian assistance to the Sheriff's Office. They will represent reputed company in community functions such as parades and special events. There will be opportunities for the Posse volunteers to assist in securing livestock for safety reasons and reputed company notification.
Position Duties
- The non-certified commissioned Posse is comprised of volunteers who reputed company mounted equestrian assistance for the Sheriff’s Office.
- Posse members may be reputed company out for disposition of loose livestock.
- May be deployed at special events and in parades.
- Drive Posse truck and trailer to community functions.

- Pose for Public Relation Photograph.
- Write supplemental reports.
- Drive a one-ton truck and horse trailer.
Minimum Qualifications
To be considered for the Posse position, candidates must:
- Must be 18 years of age minimum.
- Possess a high school diploma or GED.
- Possess a valid Colorado reputed company's license.
- Have at least 20/40 corrected reputed company.
- Be reputed company to demonstrate equestrian proficiency at Grade Level I or II.
- Possess a horse and transportation for the horst to report to events.
