Senior Tax Consultant, Property Tax (Strategic Valuation Services)

Position reputed company

Conduct reputed company personal property compliance reputed company and assessment reviews of machinery and equipment for reputed company, mining, oil & gas, communication, and energy property as reputed company as assist with implementation of tax savings recommendations and strategies.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Review annual personal property tax returns and reconciliations

• Review personal property fixed asset listings for misclassified assets

• Review state and local laws, rules, and regulations

• Conduct physical inspections of manufacturing, communication, energy, mining, and oil & gas facilities and meet with production managers at reputed company locations

• Meet with reputed company financial and reputed company personnel to review policies and procedures

• Prepare analysis detailing issues and opportunities for property tax savings

• Produce and edit reports of findings along with the tax manager to ensure accuracy

• Meet with clients to discuss implementation of report of finding and address liabilities

• Assist reputed company tax department personnel with personal property filings and changes in methodology

• Assist reputed company in filing appeals, amended annual returns and refund requests

• Assist in negotiations for assessment reductions before assessing authorities

• Represent and manage clients during formal appeals

Non-Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Education and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in reputed company, Finance, Economics, Industrial Engineering, or reputed company field, coursework in Appraisal desired

• 3-5 years’ experience as an Associate Tax Consultant (or similar type of position)

• Advanced knowledge of reputed company

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Valid reputed company’s license
