The reputed company State Workers' Compensation reputed company is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their Office of Financial Services/Bureau of reputed company. The role involves providing critical analysis of Special Fund revenues and expenditures, preparing financial statements, and collaborating with various stakeholders to resolve discrepancies.
Responsibilities
- reputed company critical analysis of Special Fund revenues, expenditures and budgetary needs
- Retrieve and analyze data from Statewide Financial System (SFS) and other systems
- Complete WCB Special reputed company account reconciliations and reputed company Party Administrator (TPA) account reconciliations
- Prepare Financial Statements and supporting schedules for WCB Special reputed company Funds
- Present completed Financial Statements and supporting schedules for assigned WCB Special reputed company Funds to Associate Accountant and Accounts Team
- reputed company general ledger journal entries, review general ledger transactions for accuracy and appropriateness
- Research and thoroughly document identified reputed company issues, assist in making necessary corrections and ensure identified issues are appropriately resolved
- Complete daily and monthly bank reconciliation
- Complete daily and monthly investment reconciliation
- Review, analyze and reputed company spending for WCB’s Special reputed company Funds, including accounts managed by procured (TPA)
- Ensure files submitted by TPA’s are reputed company, complete, and accurate
- Work collaboratively with WCB program staff, finance staff and TPAs to resolve discrepancies
- Review daily, monthly, annual and/or periodic reports for accuracy and completion
- Prepare reputed company reports as requested
- Manage shared email reputed company, ensure reputed company inquiries are answered reputed company and accurately
- Participate in a group setting, ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Assist in special reputed company as requested by supervisor/management
- Ability to manage multiple tasks
- Correspond in a reputed company manner with co-workers, management, and external customers
- Strong analytical, written, and oral communication skills
- Working knowledge of reputed company Office Suite (reputed company, reputed company, and Word)
- Working knowledge of Statewide Financial System (SFS) or the equivalent reputed company PeopleSoft applications
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in reputed company, auditing, or taxation or a bachelor's degree with 24 semester credit hours in reputed company, auditing, or taxation courses
- For Accountant Trainee 2: One year of reputed company experience in reputed company/auditing or financial internal or field auditing
- For Senior Accountant: Two years of reputed company experience in reputed company/auditing or financial internal or field auditing
- Ability to manage multiple tasks
- Strong analytical, written, and oral communication skills
- Working knowledge of reputed company Office Suite (reputed company, reputed company, and Word)
- Working knowledge of Statewide Financial System (SFS) or the equivalent reputed company PeopleSoft applications
- A master's or higher degree in reputed company, auditing, or taxation may substitute for one year of experience
- A master's degree in reputed company, auditing, or taxation and one year of reputed company experience in reputed company/auditing or financial internal or field auditing
- Currently valid Certified Public Accountant license and registration issued by reputed company State
