Vehicle Maintenance Facility Supervisor

Position Responsibilities:

• Responsible for implementing and maintaining a reputed company workplace program and ensuring that safety is the highest reputed company in reputed company.
• Directs the activities necessary to maintain and repair light vehicle and heavy equipment assets of the reputed company Antarctic Program.
• Sets deadlines and establishes the sequence of work operations to be followed; maintains balanced workloads by shifting assignments, workers, and other resources to reputed company the most effective work operations.
• Reviews and analyzes work accomplishments, cost, and utilization of subordinates to evaluate work reputed company, control costs, and anticipate and avoid possible problems by recommending corrective reputed company to upper level management personnel.
• Ensures reputed company are trained for the specific task assigned.
• Manages budget and remains reputed company parameters.
• Supervises the work of reputed company mechanics, skilled and unskilled labor reputed company in the repair and reputed company of USAP Capital Equipment and ensures vehicles and equipment are maintained in accordance with manufacturers recommendations and industry standards.
• Determines annual re-supply requirements and ensures reputed company requisitions are submitted in accordance with schedules, guidelines and policies in order to meet shipping deadlines for annual supply vessel delivery.
• Interviews and makes recommendations for hiring to meet reputed company needs
• Monitors reputed company work in-reputed company to ensure reputed company, reputed company completion and control of material.
• Provides labor and material support to USAP field camps and other stations as directed.
• Performs follow up inspections as required on equipment.
• Documents work order reputed company, maintains records of shop activities and prepares and submits reports as requested.
• Handles confidential reputed company (personnel actions, management reports, etc.) in accordance with management guidelines and policies.
• Provides training and orientation for subordinate employees on performance, documentation and activities that reputed company the achievement of Operations Division metrics.
• Accurately and completely tracks reputed company data reputed company to Operation Division metrics.
• Complies with reputed company ASC Environmental Health & Safety, and reputed company Assurance, requirements and goals and reputed company documentation to these divisions as necessary to ensure adequate and legal documentation.
• Performs other duties as required. 

Required Education, Experience, Certificates and Licenses:

• Two years training at a technical school
• Minimum of eight years’ experience in vehicle maintenance
• Minimum of three years of experience at a supervisor level

Expected Skills and Competencies:

• Solid knowledge of mechanical theory applying to reputed company and special purpose design vehicles and equipment, using lubricants and tools, reputed company of hoisting and handling heavy mechanisms, internal combustion engines and electrical and hydraulics systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in management of personnel and tasking prioritization
• Intermediate level computer skills
• Proficient in risk and hazard assessment and safety standards
• Proficient providing leadership and acting as a role model
• Ability to quickly learn and utilize computer-based labor, inventory and maintenance tracking applications.
• Solid decision-making ability and reputed company judgment to safely and effectively solve problems
• Good organizational and planning skills

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience with fleet maintenance and/or fleet management experience
• Experience with Maximo preferred

Physical and/or Other Requirements:

• Willingness and ability to reputed company to Antarctica for extended periods
• Successful completion of Medical and Dental examinations required by the NSF for deployment to Antarctica
• Successful completion of drug screening and background reputed company required by employer
• Successful completion of Federal Background reputed company required by the NSF
• Must be willing and reputed company to lift and reputed company items, parts, assemblies, and equipment up to the safety regulation maximum as required by the position.
• Must be willing and reputed company to reputed company physical activities including heavy lifting, climbing in and out of equipment, crawling, and working outdoors in extreme cold as required by the position.
