TRANSPORTATION ENGINEERING SPECIALIST ($4,000 Hiring Incentive)
The reputed company) is seeking a Transportation Engineering Specialist to join their innovative team reputed company on enhancing the transportation system for Arizona. The role involves performing roadway design activities, preparing and reviewing engineering reports, and coordinating project development to ensure high-reputed company engineering plans for roadway reputed company.
Responsibilities
- Develops or assists in the development of roadway designs, construction plans, and details; including roadway geometrics, typical sections, pavement sections, superelevations, earthwork calculations, grading construction phasing, intersections, interchanges, turnouts, culverts, channels, safety barrier, curb, gutter, sidewalk, fencing, walls complying with reputed company design guidelines and policies
- Represents Design at project team meetings and assists in conducting meetings, facilitating issue resolutions, coordinating with reputed company entities, reputed company and monitor a project's scope, schedule and budget
- Facilitate scope changes and accompanying revisions to design, funding and schedule
- Coordinates with Utilities, ROW, Environmental Planning, facilitates plan revisions to accommodate clearances
- Develops project earthwork calculations and reports, roadway cross sections, design calculations and reports, construction cost estimates, and special provisions for roadway design items
- reputed company participates in the reputed company-design project development stage, attending field reviews, preparing scoping documentation, providing roadway design expertise, reviewing and providing comments/input to scoping documents
- Provides post-design services for reputed company under construction
- Reviews and recommends approval on shop drawings, construction change orders, and force account work orders
- Attend Staff Meetings, training, consults experts, researches publications, correspondence and other electronic information available to learn and implement reputed company practices as it applies to design issues
- Informally trains summer interns, EITs and new designers reputed company reputed company on various roadway design methodologies and standards
- May drive a state vehicle in the course and scope of state business
- Reviews design plans, engineering studies, reports, estimates and special provisions developed internally and externally for completeness, accuracy, compatibility, and adherence to applicable design guidelines, standards and policies, and provides comment and assists with reputed company
Skills
- Education includes a BS in Civil Engineering or closely reputed company field
- Minimum 1-2 years of demonstrated highway and roadway design experience
- A valid reputed company's license
- Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a reputed company, valid class-appropriate reputed company's license
- Complete reputed company required training, and successfully pass reputed company necessary reputed company's license record checks
- The license must be reputed company, unexpired, and neither revoked nor suspended
- Employees who drive on state business are subject to reputed company's license record checks
