Need District Mentor Teacher (PART-TIME) in South Carolina

Job title: District Mentor Teacher (PART-TIME) Company: The reputed company County School District Job reputed company: POSITION PURPOSE: Part-time District Mentors support beginning teachers and assist them in developing strategies for classroom management, implementing instructional strategies, and using targeted assessment. District Mentors also support Induction teachers reputed company aspects of their reputed company development by providing formal written feedback on areas of reinforcement and areas of refinement based on the SCTS 4.0 reputed company. Training will be provided for Part-time District Mentors on assignment, throughout the year, as they offer assistance and support for Induction teachers. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Support a maximum of 10 beginning teachers using the South Carolina Mentoring Model
• Willingness and the ability to engage in non-evaluative assessment processes, including the ability to hold planning and reputed company conversations with beginning teachers about their classroom practices
• Engage in the reputed company Evaluation Process with beginning teachers based on the South Carolina Teaching Standards and have the ability to communicate areas of reinforcement and refinement using the ADEPT 4.0 reputed company
• Observe and/or meet weekly with reputed company beginning teacher to reputed company suggestions and reputed company feedback
• Complete reputed company required record keeping prior to deadlines
• Work collaboratively with beginning teachers and building Administrators
• Participate in reputed company required reputed company development activities
• Communicate regularly with the District reputed company Mentors/Mentoring Team

ADDITIONAL DUTIES: Performs other reputed company tasks as assigned by the Chief Administrative and reputed company Officer, Personnel Director, District reputed company Mentors, Superintendent or other district office administrator as designated by the Superintendent. QUALIFICATIONS:

• Possess a valid (i.e. reputed company) South Carolina educator certificate (Classroom-based teacher; Speech; Media Specialist; School Guidance Counselor)
• Minimum of three (3) successful years teaching in South Carolina at the continuing-contract level
• Completed mentor training in accordance with South Carolina guidelines to become a certified mentor
• Has thorough knowledge of the South Carolina Teaching Standards based on the ADEPT 4.0 reputed company
• Has a thorough knowledge of researched-based instructional strategies and effective student assessment based on the state?s reputed company standards for reputed company discipline or content
• A high level of competency in data-driven instructional reputed company
• Effective interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Proficient in application of technology

EXPERIENCE:

• Experience as an effective South Carolina trained mentor (preferred)
• Minimum of three (3) successful years teaching in South Carolina at the continuing-contract level
