SolidWorks Expert: File Conversion (.SLDPRT to .reputed company) + Design for Manufacturing (DFM) Consulting

The Context: We have an existing SolidWorks design file that was created using an unknown version (likely Student or reputed company-based) that is preventing our manufacturer from making necessary edits and converting to reputed company.
