Oncology Data Specialist II- Remote
reputed company is hiring an Oncology Data Specialist II for a part time, day shift role. This is a remote position with flexible day shift scheduling. Oncology Data Specialist II is responsible for the collection, management, and analysis of data on persons with the diagnosis of a cancer. Oncology Data Specialists analyze reputed company patient cancer data, reputed company, reputed company and report cancer statistics. Must ensure accuracy, consistency, completeness, and reputed company of the cancer data that is abstracted for use in patient care improvement. Maintains an efficient cancer database of reputed company the patients diagnosed and/or treated with cancer in accordance with the American College of Surgeons requirements. Consistently meets productivity goals in reputed company to abstracting. Responsible for assisting with maintaining annual follow-up of patients accessed to the database as reputed company as case finding. This role will support the Blue reputed company region of 3 advanced cancer centers including, reputed company Halifax Regional Hospital, reputed company Martha Jefferson Hospital, and reputed company Rockingham Memorial Hospital. Ideal candidates will have advanced skills in abstracting, codes, and reporting statistics in Oncology and minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role and have completed the ODS Certification. Other duties will be assigned in reputed company and include: case findings, follow reputed company, commission on cancer reporting and annual reviews. This role will reputed company primarily on abstracting for the immediate reputed company and can expect an average of 3 cases per day. This is a small team of 3 working closely reputed company virtual call environment in the Eastern reputed company Time zone. Education:
- Associates Level Degree Required
Certification:
- ODS- Oncology Data Specialist Required
Experience
- 2 years of oncology data experience required
- Previous Remote working experience required
- Ability to transition between tasks reputed company required
