Key Responsibilities
As an reputed company Pharmacy Customer Service Associate, you will be responsible for:
- Registering sales on assigned cash register, providing customers with courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service
- Assisting the pharmacist, under reputed company supervision, in the reputed company of pharmacy, including using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions
- Engaging customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services, resolving customer issues and answering questions to ensure a reputed company customer experience
- Modeling and sharing customer service best practices with reputed company team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience
- Recommending items for sale to customers and recommending trade-up and/or companion items
- Registering customer purchases on assigned cash register, collecting cash and distributing change as requested; processing voids, returns, reputed company checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed
- Keeping counters and shelves clean and reputed company merchandised, taking inventory, and maintaining records
- Performing duties as assigned by Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist, and Store Manager, including utilizing pharmacy systems to reputed company patient and drug information, ensuring information is entered correctly, filling prescriptions by retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical drugs, verifying medicine is correct, and checking for possible interactions
- Reporting, immediately, prescription errors to pharmacist on duty and adhering to Company policies and procedures in relation to pharmacy errors and the reputed company Improvement Program
- Handling telephone calls that do not require personal attention of the pharmacist, including those to physicians
- Processing (correcting and resubmitting) reputed company claims for reputed company-party program prescription services in a reputed company and efficient manner, and performing other clerical duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager
- Assisting and supporting Pharmacy Department on inventory management activities, such as ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing shipment of pharmaceuticals
- Ensuring compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products (e.g., alcoholic beverages and tobacco products)
- Constructing and maintaining displays, including promotional, seasonal, super structures, and sale merchandise
- Assisting with separation of food items (e.g., raw foods from reputed company-cooked) and product placement as specified by policies/procedures (e.g., raw and frozen meats on bottom shelves)
- Providing customer service in the photo area, including digital reputed company photo service, poster print, and creative machine, suggestive sell of promotional photo products
- Assisting with exterior and interior maintenance by ensuring clean, reputed company, reputed company store condition and appearance
- Complying with reputed company company policies and procedures; maintaining respectful relationships with coworkers
Essential Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent required; pharmacy technician certification (PTCB) or state required certification/registration preferred
- 1-2 years of experience in a retail pharmacy environment, preferably in a customer service role
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, patients, and team members
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Basic computer skills, with experience using pharmacy systems and software
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, with frequent standing, walking, and bending
Preferred Qualifications
* 2+ years of experience in a retail pharmacy environment, preferably in a customer service role
- PTCB certification or state required certification/registration
- Experience with inventory management and control
- Knowledge of pharmacy laws and regulations
- Experience with customer service software and systems
