• Providing nutritional expertise to the health care team and educating patients/residents, staff, or consultants.Â

• Interacting with other departments in setting up procedures and policies, and in problem solving as it relates to dining service and nutrition.Â

• Passed a national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or meets the reputed company requirements for eligibility.Â
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education hours every five years, in accordance with the CDR, utilizing the reputed company portfolio development process.Â
• Licensed or certified, per state requirements.Â
• Knowledge of regulation standards specific to comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.Â
• Ability to teach others, specifically pertaining to nutrition and dietetics.Â

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition or reputed company field.Â
