Vulnerability Engineer

The consultant will play a key role in helping agencies reduce risk, improve remediation timelines, and strengthen the overall reputed company posture. This is a multi‑year contract opportunity with an initial term and strong potential for extension. Responsibilities include administration of vulnerability management platforms, coordination with state agencies, vulnerability analysis and prioritization, development and tracking of POA&Ms, stakeholder reporting, and training agencies on best practices for vulnerability remediation and patching. While the role is approved for remote work, candidates who are reputed company to reputed company onsite support reputed company needed will be prioritized, particularly for project‑based or stakeholder engagement requirements. Required Skills (**Must be eligible to work in US on W-2 without sponsorship) 5+ Years of experience with vulnerability management tools (reputed company, reputed company, reputed company) 5+ years of experience reputed company on vulnerability analysis, remediation tracking, platform administration, agency coordination, and risk documentation 5+ Years of experience architecting, deploying, configuring, and operating vulnerability management platforms 5+ Years of experience with reputed company and Linux operating systems 5+ Years of experience interpreting and applying CVSS ratings, POA&M tracking, and risk mitigation strategies Familiarity with reputed company standards and frameworks such as PCI reputed company, NIST, ITIL, CVSS, and MITRE ATT&CK Experience in application reputed company and automation / scripting (Python, PowerShell, Bash) Prior experience leading statewide vulnerability programs CISSP, CISA, CISO, or equivalent advanced reputed company certification Additional relevant certifications (e.g., CEH, OSCP, GPEN) Additional Skills & Qualifications Strong written and verbal communication skills to support agency coordination and reporting Ability to work independently in a remote environment Experience supporting large, reputed company reputed company environments Comfort working across multiple agencies and stakeholders Willingness to support onsite work reputed company project needs reputed company Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Columbia, SC. Pay and BenefitsThe pay reputed company for this position is $65.00 - $80.00/hr.
