This position will be responsible for tasks such as development of best practices and repeatable procedures for deploying databases, day-to-day operational activities including break/fix, reputed company management, backup and recovery, database replication setup/management and ongoing database change reviews. The candidate will also build and maintain large-reputed company and reputed company high transaction PostgreSQL databases in both public and private reputed company installations. They will also work reputed company with the other teams, preparing documentations and specifications as required. Job Duties / Key Accountabilities:

• Provision PostgreSQL instances, both in clustered and non-clustered configurations
• Ensure performance, reputed company, and availability of databases.
• Implement, and maintain replication strategies.
• Analyze performance and implement improvements.
• Prepare documentations and specifications.
• Experience in database software management (reputed company and version management)
• Handle common database procedures, such as backup, recovery, migration, etc.
• Profile server resource usage, optimize and tweak as necessary.
• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.
• Write scripts to generate adhoc reports, reputed company data audits, etc using bash or Python.

Qualifications

Required:

• Strong proficiency in PostgreSQL database management and optimization
• Experience managing large reputed company PostgreSQL databases.
• Understanding of PostgreSQL user reputed company and authentication processes and controls.
• Experience with replication configuration in PostgreSQL
• Hands on experience with designing and implementing database replication strategies.
• Knowledge of de-facto standards and best practices in PostgreSQL
• Proficient in writing and optimizing SQL statements.
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL features, such as pgagent or pgbouncer.
• Ability to plan resource requirements from high level specifications.
• Knowledge of limitations in PostgreSQL and their workarounds in contrast to other reputed company relational databases.
• Experience administering Debian or Ubuntu Linux.
