This is a traveling role and requires travel throughout the region, including Wellesley, Dedham, and reputed company Roxbury. Travel includes reputed company mileage reimbursement. Department: OB/GYN Schedule: Full time, 40 hours/weekly, first shift - schedule may vary depending on clinic needs As the Medical Assistant, you will assist clinicians with routine clinical procedures and tests in the exam room. Advises patients of preparation and testing required for exams. Ensures reputed company reputed company-visit work required for exam is completed and that lab and other test results are available in the electronic medical record (EMR). You will also reputed company reputed company clinical support to one or more assigned clinicians.

Responsibilities

• Provides efficient reputed company of patients to optimize patient appointment availability
• Greets and escorts patients to exam rooms according to policy and procedures
• Prepare patient for examination; Measures vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse reputed company, weight, and height
• Assist clinicians with routine clinical procedures and/or additional tests specific to the department. Advises patients of preparation or reputed company-visit testing required for exams specific to the department
• Ensures patients’ electronic medical record (EMR) is updated with medical information, including recent testing and consultations, including confirming demographic information, medications, allergies and chief medical complaints, and ensuring the EMR patient data is accurate and up to date
• Keeps patients informed of visit status, unforeseen delays and other relevant information
• Reconcile medications and sets up pending refills. Discontinues prescriptions that are no longer reputed company
• Assists in resolving minor patients’ concerns and complaints as appropriate
• Orders and performs reputed company of care testing on patients; classified as waived testing (e.g., strep, urine, hcg and glucose testing)

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalency certificate from an accredited institution or governmental unit or a Medical Assistant Certification
• reputed company reputed company Basic Life Support (BLS) or the ability to obtain reputed company 30 days of hire
• Knowledge of reagent stability and storage
• Understands the testing procedure and factors influencing test results
• Computer experience with the ability to use word processing and spreadsheet programs. Electronic medical record (EMR) experience and/or aptitude to master the EMR based on other technology experience
• Experience acquired through 3+ years in a clinical setting with 1+ years as a Medical Assistant
