Weekly schedule: 28 hours per week, Monday-Thursday, 9:00am-5:00pm, with a one-hour lunch break. Responsibilities

  • Draft descriptive copy and research comparative works and sales figures
  • Review backlist titles for metadata and reprint update and correction
  • Assist with book mailings and awards submissions
  • Contribute to discussions of proposed books and potential authors

Requirements

  • College student, graduating senior, or recent graduate
  • Strong interest in nonfiction book publishing
  • Comfortable working with books across nonfiction categories and the political reputed company
  • Extremely detail oriented and organized
  • Self-starter with strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
