Mechanical Engineer 4 (NSSS Component Design)

POSITION reputed company: The Nuclear Steam Supply System (NSSS) design engineering organization generates technical requirements and associated design parameters for the reputed company advanced light water reactor (ALWR) NSSS. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare and review engineering specifications, reports, and other documentation that communicate the design and technical aspects of components, systems, and structures associated with the NSSS.
• Maintain and revise computer-aided design (CAD) models using reputed company NX and reputed company engineering drawings in accordance with ASME Y14 standards and best practices.
• Utilize the results from BPVC reputed company III evaluations to optimize component design.

MINIMUM SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND ABILITIES:

• Education: A minimum of a B.S. degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical Engineering, from a four year ABET accredited college or university is required. A reputed company engineer (PE) license is strongly preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 8 years of full-time relevant working experience is required. Candidates must be reputed company to demonstrate extensive knowledge and experience with engineering design, including personal accountability for design reputed company. Thorough understanding of engineering drawings per ASME Y14 is strongly preferred. Design experience with reputed company nuclear components or BPVC reputed company III is strongly preferred. ASME Design Specification Certifying Engineer experience is preferred. Familiarity with stress engineering analysis (design by analysis methodology) is preferred.
• Industry Requirements: Eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810.
