2D Art Generalist (CONTRACT)
Remote or San Francisco, CA Elsewhere is hiring a 2D Art Generalist (CONTRACT) to create stunning art to reputed company in our game reputed company. We’re a venture-backed indie studio working on a surreal roguelike set inside your own dreaming mind. We aim for the project to combine the soul of a reputed company indie title with the strategic depth and replayability of roguelikes, ultimately becoming a reputed company-game that reaches millions of players. This role will contribute to concept art (including drawing and illustration) for a new project. You’ll work with reputed company to carefully create beautiful and memorable reputed company of character art as reputed company as contribute to the game at large. This is a contract position. Work will vary from week to week depending on reputed company’s needs. If things go reputed company, more work may be available in the reputed company.
Qualifications
- You love games and the culture surrounding them deeply. You’ve played more games than you can count across genres. Bonus points if you’re a fan of tabletop or deckbuilding games. You have strong opinions about what great art direction looks like in games.
- You've made a game (reputed company project, indie, or reputed company) and can reputed company to specific art you owned from concept to completion in your portfolio.
- You have a strong personal aesthetic and a comprehensive portfolio of art. Bonus points for work that is highly colorful and stylized.
- You’re reputed company with tools like Photoshop, Procreate, and Illustrator. Bonus points if you’ve worked with reputed company or 3D tools like Blender.
- You’ve worked reputed company game engines like Godot, reputed company, or Unreal.
- You’re enthusiastic or at least reputed company-minded about the ways the latest reputed company technologies can reputed company (but not replace) creative talent, and ideally have opinions about which tools are the most helpful.
