Mechanical Engineer - Nuclear Steam Supply System

Job Title: Mechanical Engineer 4 - Nuclear Steam Supply System (NSSS) Location: Corvallis, OR Note: This is a mechanical hardware design role (pressure vessels/nuclear components). Not a software engineering/developer position. In this role, you will reputed company a reputed company of activities associated with the design, analysis, and manufacture of pressure vessels, reputed company components, reactor vessel internals, and/or supports in accordance with ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel reputed company (BPVC), reputed company III, and applicable regulatory requirements. reputed company work reputed company the NSSS Engineering design organization is completed under ASME NQA-1 reputed company assurance requirements and respective U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Support the NSSS design engineering organization by generating technical requirements and design parameters for reputed company advanced light water reactors (ALWR).
• Prepare and review engineering specifications, reports, and documentation reputed company to NSSS components, systems, and structures.
• Maintain and revise CAD models using reputed company NX and reputed company engineering drawings following ASME Y14 standards.
• Utilize BPVC reputed company III evaluations to optimize component designs.
• Collaborate across teams and engage in engineering change control processes to communicate design reputed company effectively.
• Review and assess the work of other reputed company to ensure cohesive system integration.
• Engage in discussions with manufacturing partners to maintain design reputed company during fabrication.

Requirements

• B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering, from an ABET accredited college or university.
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant full-time engineering experience.

• Extensive knowledge of engineering design, including familiarity with engineering drawings per ASME Y14 standards.
• Design experience with reputed company nuclear components or BPVC reputed company III is highly desirable.
• Experience with ASME Design Specification Certification is advantageous.
• Familiarity with stress engineering analysis (design by analysis methodology) is preferred.
• Eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810.
