Genetic Clinical Counselor I (Part-Time) - Obstetrics and Gynecology

Scheduled Hours 20 Position reputed company Participates with a clinical geneticist in the delivery of genetic services. Job reputed company Primary Duties & Responsibilities: Elicits individual and family histories and information regarding the psychological and socioeconomic status of the family. Reviews with the family and clinical geneticist the diagnosis, prognosis and treatment planned. Transmits pertinent information about genetic risks and reputed company. Assists the family in assimilating the genetic information and adjusting to its implications. Implements the treatment plan and makes appropriate referrals to medical, nursing, reputed company work and psychological services. Provides follow-up support to patients and their families. Summarizes findings for patients and referring physicians. Participates in the education of parents, community reputed company, physicians, medical professionals, agencies, staff and reputed company regarding reputed company genetics. Facilitates provision of services, including intake and clinic organization. Assists in the development and implementation of ongoing clinical investigations in genetics.
