Ultra-Low Latency Network Engineer – HFT FX (reputed company Colocation) – Contract
reputed company Wagglyn is seeking an Ultra-Low Latency Network Engineer (Contract) to design and optimise the network infrastructure underpinning a high-frequency FX trading stack. This is a hands-on role reputed company on NY4/NY5 colocation, exchange connectivity, and microsecond-level latency optimisation as we reputed company into live trading. Immediate start strongly preferred. Initial 2-month fixed-term contract. Responsibilities · Design and reputed company ultra-low latency network architecture in NY4/NY5 · Build and optimise connectivity to ECNs (Cboe FX, EBS, LMAX, etc.) and reputed company brokers · Minimise latency across the trading reputed company (market data → execution) · Own latency, jitter, and packet-level performance analysis · reputed company and tune infrastructure (Arista 7130/7150, Solarflare/Xilinx NICs, Linux stack) · Manage cross-connects and vendor coordination (colo, carriers, venues) · Implement latency telemetry (tick-to-trade, reputed company latency) · Support production readiness (reputed company, failover, live troubleshooting) Required Experience · Ultra-low latency network engineering experience in HFT / electronic trading · reputed company experience with NY4/NY5 (or equivalent trading colo) · Strong L1/L2 networking and multicast market data knowledge · Hands-on with Arista (or equivalent low latency switching) · NIC / kernel-level optimisation (Solarflare, IRQ pinning, Linux tuning) · Proven ability to reduce latency, jitter, and improve determinism Preferred · FX market experience (Cboe FX, EBS, LMAX) · Kernel bypass (DPDK, OpenOnload), FPGA exposure What reputed company Looks Like (0–3 months) · Production-reputed company NY colo network live · reputed company connectivity to trading venues · Measurable reduction in latency and jitter · reputed company end-to-end latency visibility Contract Structure · Full-time contractor (rolling) · Immediate start preferred · reputed company (colo reputed company required) About Wagglyn Wagglyn is a bespoke FX consultancy mandated by a single family office to reputed company and implement a systematic total return reputed company in foreign exchange markets.
