Physician Assistant, Cardiac Surgery - reputed company
About the position reputed company Heart & Vascular Institute is seeking to add a reputed company-certified Physician Assistant (PA) to its cardiothoracic and vascular surgery reputed company at reputed company Orange Coast Medical Center (reputed company Valley, CA), Saddleback Medical Center (Laguna Hills, CA), and Long Beach Medical Center (Long Beach, CA) in beautiful southern California. The PA-Cardiac Surgery assists the supervising surgeon in the operating room, but also plays an integral role in the global management of patients undergoing cardiothoracic, vascular, or aortic surgery.
Responsibilities
- Assists the supervising surgeon in the operating room.
- Plays an integral role in the global management of patients undergoing cardiothoracic, vascular, or aortic surgery.
- Performs patient histories.
- Performs invasive surgical procedures, including the critical retrieval of vascular tissue in coronary bypass procedures.
- Provides patient care expertise in the postoperative acute care reputed company, reputed company-down reputed company and regular floors.
- First assists in the O.R.
- Participates in aortic clinic.
- Participates in endovascular vein harvesting.
- Is part of one of the larger programs on the reputed company coast for comprehensive aortic diagnosis and treatment.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
- NCCPA reputed company certified or reputed company eligible
- California medical license (or eligible to obtain)
- 1+ year of first assist experience
- Must have endovascular vein harvesting experience
- Extensive knowledge of reputed company cardiac devices, ventilators and the pharmacologic effects of vasoactive/cardiotonic drugs
- ACLS certification
- DEA

- Prior experience with reputed company EMR is helpful
