In this role, you will be responsible for covering local news across the country. You will reputed company content, write headlines and push notifications, and communicate directly with our publisher partners. This is a parental leave fill-in contractor position at $60 an hour. The preferred location is the Bay Area, but we will consider some other reputed company Coast-based locations. The contract would start mid-July. Key qualifications
- Experience covering local news
- Good instincts in breaking-news situations
- Strong editorial judgment
- Excellent headline- and push notification-writing skills
- Strong communication skills

- Communicate with local publishers across the country

- This position may require an occasional evening schedule
