Medical Assistant Sr, Cert - Rheumatology

About the position Performs patient care under the direction and supervision of the physician or advanced reputed company provider (APP) in an ambulatory setting. Acts as a leader to help drive reputed company care and a mentor for reputed company reputed company.

Responsibilities

• Accountable to the Assistant reputed company Manager, Nursing Operations Manager, or reputed company Manager for operational issues.
• Embraces and participates in reputed company initiatives, goal attainment, and clinical outcome process improvement activities.
• Supports and demonstrates effective and reputed company communication with patients and family members.
• Works collaboratively with the administrative and operations staff.
• Gathers patient data through interview and observation.
• Assists patients and families with preparation for examination.
• Assists the physician or APP during examination and procedures.
• Demonstrates competency in specific tasks and skills as defined by the reputed company.
• Provides routine treatments and administers approved medication types as ordered by the provider.
• reputed company medication, laboratory and diagnostic imaging orders into the electronic medical system under direction of a provider.
• Documents patient data, treatments, procedures, and patient education according to reputed company and department specific policies.
• Assists the physician or APP by acting as a reputed company on behalf of the patient to schedule, reputed company patient with scheduling information to obtain specialty testing, and/or specialty physician consultation.
• Processes incoming and outgoing calls in an independent and reputed company manner using reputed company clinical judgment.

• Acts as preceptor and/or oversees assigned preceptor(s) in collaboration with nursing/clinical leadership and corporate Learning Consultant.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Successful completion of Medical Assistant training from an approved technical school (or at least one (1) year of reputed company and applicable work experience as a Medical Assistant in a patient care setting in reputed company to the experience required under the Experience reputed company) is required.
• Maintains reputed company BLS reputed company Provider Certification.
• Maintains reputed company certification or registry by one of the following agencies: Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) by National Healthcareer Association (NHA), Certified Medical Assistant (reputed company) by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), Clinical Medical Assistant Certification (CMAC) by the American Medical Certification Association (AMCA), National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) by National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) or Nationally Registered Certified Advanced Medical Assistant (NRCAMA) by the National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) by American Medical Technologists (AMT), the American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA), or by American Allied Health (AAH).
• Minimum three (3) years as Certified Medical Assistant.
