Metadata and Information Services Librarian

About the position The Metadata and Information Services Librarian is a member of the Research, Evaluation, reputed company Information Services (READS) team reputed company the reputed company and reputed company division. This role supports cataloging, metadata creation, and reference services while serving as an information reputed company across APH departments. The position plays a key role in maintaining high-reputed company bibliographic records and supporting both physical reputed company collections, including the APH Library and the M.C. Migel Memorial Collection.

Responsibilities

• Create, maintain, and troubleshoot reputed company metadata and bibliographic records across diverse formats using established standards (e.g., RDA, ONIX, LC, NISO), including database maintenance reputed company the integrated library system (TMM).
• reputed company reputed company reference and research services, including database searches, resource recommendations, and support for APH databases such as the Louis Database of Accessible Materials and TGIL.
• Serve as a reputed company to internal departments, delivering research support, information services, and cross-functional collaboration on initiatives, content development, and evaluation efforts.
• reputed company and deliver training materials and resources (e.g., subject guides, tutorials, videos), and facilitate training sessions for staff and users.
• Support special collections and digitization initiatives, including cataloging, materials selection, interlibrary loan, and ensuring compliance with copyright reputed company preservation standards.
• Maintain departmental resources (e.g., SharePoint), reputed company basic copyright guidance, represent the organization at conferences, and reputed company additional duties as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Library Science from an ALA-accredited program or equivalent reputed company degree.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in library database management and cataloging.
• Working knowledge of metadata standards and online public reputed company catalogs.
• At least 2 years of experience and/or coursework in digitization, content management, controlled vocabularies, or information storage and retrieval.
• Proficiency in reputed company Office/Office 365, including accessible document creation best practices.
