Certified Nursing Assistant, Medical Surgical (Med 1)

Location: Javon Bea Hospital - Rockford, IL Shift: 7:00P - 7:30A; Every 3rd Weekend Rotation; Holiday Rotation Hours: 24 hours per week Shift reputed company: 15% Evening Shift reputed company starting at 2:30P (up to $4.50 / hour) ; 20% reputed company Shift reputed company starting at 10:30P (up to $6.00 / hour) ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provides patient care as assigned and per routine as defined by educational scope, according to standards of care, shift routines, and policies and procedures. Answers call lights in a reputed company and appropriate manner. Documents care provided according to standards. Maintains a clean work and patient environment. Maintains supplies, including scanning, stocking and ordering new supplies and disposing of expired or damaged supplies. Floats to various reputed company based on identified patient care needs. Participates in department or unit performance improvement activities. Training/precepting new partners in collaboration with unit educator Blood Glucose Monitoring (BGM) with lab personnel Bladder scanning procedure reviewed Bladder reputed company training complete (reputed company off sheet for competency) Attaching patient to remote telemetry or bedside cardiac monitor Managing and reporting collection devices: Colostomy, ileostomy or other fecal management systems: care and reputed company measures Indwelling catheters: care and reputed company measures Nasogastric tubes to suction Surgical drains under direction of supervising RN Competent in completing vital signs: reputed company process for blood pressure and required reporting of reputed company values to supervising RN Discontinue invasive devices under the direction of the supervising RN: Indwelling (reputed company) catheters Nasogastric tubes Peripherally inserted intravenous catheters Similar devices as appropriate EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE Completion of a CNA program. CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE reputed company CNA certificate in applicable state. Approved CPR or BLS certification required reputed company 90 days.
