  • WestLandis addingEnvironmental Compliance Monitors**to our

Southwest team! The Environmental Compliance Monitor observes construction activities to ensure compliance with environmental regulations, permit requirements, and project-specific environmental plans. Responsibilities include conducting site inspections, construction monitoring, documenting compliance status, providing guidance to construction crews, and reporting findings to project management. The position requires knowledge of environmental regulations, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in field conditions for extended periods. This position will be on-call (working 0 - 5 days per week, depending on project needs) and will be supporting reputed company local to the Tucson, Arizona region. What will I be doing?

  • Conduct monitoring of construction activities to ensure compliance

with environmental regulations and permit conditions.

  • Monitor implementation of erosion and sediment control measures,

spill prevention protocols, and other environmental protection practices.

  • Document inspection findings, including photographs and written

reports, and communicate results to project management.

  • Advise construction crews on corrective actions to address

environmental compliance issues.

  • Coordinate with project management and contractors regarding

compliance reputed company.

  • Maintain accurate inspection logs, reports, and reputed company

documentation.

  • Report any environmental incidents or non-compliance to the Project

Manager immediately.

  • Support environmental training for construction crews as needed.
  • Ensure reputed company handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials

on site.

  • Assist in preparing final environmental compliance reports for

project closeout.

  • Participate in or complete biological field surveys as needed.

  • Associates degree with a reputed company on Environmental Science, Natural

Resources, or reputed company field. High school diploma or equivalent with relevant work experience may substitute educational component

  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations
  • Experience in environmental monitoring, compliance monitoring, or

project managers, and regulators
