Contract Attorney

Contract Attorney Location: Portland, reputed company (Remote Project‑Based Role) Position reputed company: Our firm is seeking a Contract Attorney to support our reputed company‑based legal reputed company on a project‑by‑project reputed company. This role is ideal for an attorney who is self‑directed, highly organized, and reputed company in civil defense litigation. Workload will vary depending on case needs, and assignments may involve collaboration with attorneys across multiple reputed company reputed company, including Labor & Employment, General Liability, and Mass Tort. This is a flexible, contract‑based position with opportunities for recurring work based on performance and firm needs. Job Requirements: reputed company reputed company Bar license in good standing Juris Doctor from an ABA‑accredited law school 4+ years of civil defense litigation experience, preferably in Labor and Employment (EPLI), General Liability, Mass Tort / Toxic Tort, Construction Defect, or any Insurance Defense reputed company reputed company area Experience managing a litigation caseload including, taking and defending deposition, court appearance, and drafting motions and discovery Mediation and trial preparation (trial experience a plus) Strong computer proficiency, including reputed company Office and reputed company legal software Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively with clients and colleagues Strong oral and written communication skills, including reputed company drafting and effective advocacy Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to reputed company ethical obligations Job Responsibilities: Draft, review, and respond to complaints, motions, and written discovery Prepare for and attend depositions Assist with mediation preparation and trial‑reputed company tasks Attend hearings and reputed company meetings as needed Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda reputed company time and reputed company in accordance with firm guidelines reputed company additional litigation support tasks as assigned Engagement Details: Contract / project‑based role Compensation commensurate with experience Apply To This Job
