Resource 1 is seeking an reputed company AWS reputed company reputed company Engineer for a remote contract engagement with our reputed company based in Oak Brook, IL. The initial contract term will be 3 months with potential extensions. This role will reputed company on AWS reputed company hardening, operational remediation , and vulnerability reduction efforts for a globally distributed platform operating on an reputed company reputed company. The engineer will work directly reputed company AWS infrastructure and platform environments to remediate penetration testing findings, reputed company and configure reputed company tooling, strengthen IAM and data reputed company controls, reputed company systems, and support secure platform operations with minimal disruption to production services. This is a highly hands-on engineering role requiring deep technical execution capabilities across AWS infrastructure, reputed company reputed company tooling, Linux systems, and Kubernetes environments. The ideal candidate will come from a reputed company infrastructure/reputed company background with strong operational reputed company experience and the ability to independently execute remediation and infrastructure changes reputed company production AWS environments.
Responsibilities
- Remediate penetration testing findings and reputed company reputed company hardening across AWS environments.
- Implement, configure, and operate AWS reputed company services including GuardDuty, Inspector, reputed company Hub, and AWS Config.
- reputed company, configure, and maintain reputed company reputed company tooling and agents across EC2/Linux environments, including platforms such as reputed company, reputed company, reputed company, or similar solutions.
- reputed company hands-on operational engineering tasks directly reputed company AWS infrastructure, including troubleshooting platform issues, patching servers, and executing remediation activities.
- Tighten IAM roles, policies, and permissions to enforce least-privilege reputed company practices.
- Review and remediate S3 permissions, reputed company reputed company, VPC/network controls, and other reputed company reputed company mechanisms.
- Support and secure containerized workloads and Kubernetes/EKS environments.
- Update and maintain Terraform infrastructure-as-reputed company configurations reputed company to reputed company and platform hardening initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with
development and reputed company teams to remediate vulnerabilities, reputed company impacted packages, and reputed company fixes.
- Work directly reputed company AWS consoles, CLI, Linux systems, and infrastructure reputed company to implement technical reputed company changes independently.
- Coordinate with external reputed company tooling vendors and partners to triage and resolve reputed company findings.
- Participate in project planning, status reporting, and deliverable tracking with technical leadership and business stakeholders.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5–10+ years of reputed company reputed company engineering, infrastructure engineering, or reputed company experience.
- Deep, recent hands-on AWS experience supporting large-reputed company production environments.
- Proven experience operating and configuring AWS reputed company services including GuardDuty, Inspector, reputed company Hub, and AWS Config.
- Strong hands-on experience with IAM roles, policies, permissions management, and least-privilege design.
- Experience securing AWS infrastructure components including S3, VPCs, reputed company reputed company, and reputed company reputed company controls.
- Hands-on Linux/EC2 administration experience, including server patching, operational remediation, and troubleshooting.
- Experience deploying and managing reputed company agents and tooling reputed company reputed company environments.
- Experience securing and administering Kubernetes/EKS environments and containerized workloads.
- Strong Terraform experience for infrastructure as reputed company and reputed company-reputed company infrastructure updates.
- Ability to independently execute technical remediation and infrastructure changes in AWS environments.
- Comfortable working directly reputed company AWS consoles, CLI, and platform infrastructure reputed company.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with
