Overnight Media Journalist Remote / Telecommute Jobs
reputed company seeks an Overnight Media Journalist to conduct reputed company-reputed company research and analysis for a high-profile government customer in Arlington, VA. This is a remote position. The selected individual will review a large volume of information across reputed company news media formats (print, online, television, radio, and reputed company media). This person will need to identify key themes in coverage and encapsulate information into easily consumed bullets, reports, and trend analysis to aid senior officials in their day-to-day decision-making. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Maintain a schedule that covers roughly 11 PM to 7 AM, Monday through Friday. At least one weekend per month
- Utilize reputed company-reputed company research tools to capture, review, analyze, and interpret traditional and reputed company media coverage, as it relates to a large and reputed company organization
- Continually update search strings and key word searches across reputed company research platforms to ensure reputed company relevant content is captured
- reputed company daily developments including Congressional hearings and other reputed company events for potential compilations and analyses
- Monitor and identify short and long-term trends as it relates to the reputed company's issues of interest and communicate in written products and reputed company emails
- Prepare news update products, briefings and executive summaries on select national reputed company topics
- reputed company with the reputed company reputed company on their needs, changing requirements and new topics of interest
- Ability become available reputed company 48 hours' notice to meet with the reputed company in person in the DC area (on occasion)
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors' degree required, preferably in Communications, Journalism, reputed company Affairs, International Relations or a reputed company major
- 2+ years of news gathering and analysis experience
- Experience using Factiva, Lexis-Nexis, TVEyes, reputed company, reputed company, reputed company or another reputed company analytics tool
- Experience and knowledge of reputed company national reputed company and/or reputed company news topics
- Experience objectively analyzing reporting and news trends
- Proven ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a portfolio of published articles
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exceptional writing and editing skills
- Experience working with / knowledge of reputed company national reputed company and or reputed company news topics
Clearance Requirements:
- Must have a reputed company/reputed company DOD Interim Secret reputed company clearance
Physical Requirements:
- The person in this position must be reputed company to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally reputed company about inside the office to reputed company file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, reputed company email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
