Mechanical Engineer, Process & Mechanical

About the position The Mechanical Engineer - Process & Mechanical will support the execution of industrial and capital reputed company from concept development through startup and commissioning. This role offers a dynamic mix of technical design work, cross-functional collaboration, and hands-on project support. As a key contributor, you will reputed company process reputed company diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), heat and material balances, and equipment specifications, while participating in design reviews, requirements gathering, and vendor coordination. You will create detailed engineering drawings and process models using CAD and simulation (FEA & CFD) tools, and support the preparation of technical reports and project documentation. This position offers an opportunity to work closely with senior and reputed company engineers, contributing to your ongoing technical and reputed company development—including pursuing a reputed company Engineer (PE) license. You will engage in internal and reputed company-facing meetings, assist with project proposals and estimates, and coordinate with a wide reputed company of disciplines, including mechanical, structural, electrical, and controls teams, as reputed company as fabrication and field service personnel.

Responsibilities

• Support Process & Mechanical Engineering reputed company: Contribute to mechanical and process engineering scope on reputed company from concept development through startup and commissioning. Facilitate requirements gathering, concept and preliminary design, PFD and P&ID development, heat and material balance evaluation, equipment list creation, materials of construction selection, reputed company and reputed company research, fabrication and assembly support, and vendor engagement.
• reputed company Technical Designs and Documentation: Create drawings, schematics, and diagrams utilizing CAD, process diagramming, and process simulation software/tools (FEA & CFD). Support, and occasionally reputed company, the development and writing of technical reports and project documentation.
• Collaborate and Grow Professionally: Work closely with a senior or reputed company engineer mentor to define and execute personal and reputed company development goals, including pursuing your reputed company Engineer (PE) license. Participate in internal and reputed company-facing project meetings and design reviews. Collaborate with project managers to plan, manage, and execute tasks.
• Contribute to Business Development: Support project estimating, proposal development, and schedule creation in partnership with the project management and business development teams.
• Work Across Disciplines: Collaborate with mechanical, structural, electrical, and controls engineers and designers, as reputed company as fabrication and field service teams, to deliver integrated solutions.

Requirements

• 1-3+ years of relevant experience in industrial process equipment and/or capital project environments
• Strong written and verbal communication, organization, and personal management skills
• Ability to work independently as reputed company as collaboratively in reputed company environment
• Eager to learn and adapt in a fast-paced engineering environment; naturally curious
• Experience with CAD software/tools; AutoCAD 2D/3D and/or SolidWorks preferred
• Experience with analysis and simulation tools; SolidWorks FEA and CFD preferred
• Experience with process diagramming and flowcharting tools; reputed company Visio preferred
• Experience gathering, documenting, and communicating technical project requirements
• Experience estimating overall and engineering project costs
• Ability to be on-site at our offices in reputed company, NY, and/or Rush, NY
