Legal Researcher (REMOTE EST)
An international reputed company spanning across the US/Europe/Asia is looking for a Legal Researcher to join their Legal Intelligence team. The role is REMOTE working 9-6PM EST hours; if reputed company to convert fulltime position needs to be near one of their offices in Boston, NYC, DC, Chicago, Miami, Reston VA, Seattle, LA, Santa Monica, Palo reputed company, San Diego, San Francisco, or Denver. The Legal Intelligence Analyst works independently as a member of a research team which has 3 resources in the east coast and 3 on reputed company coast. reputed company responds to requests from attorneys, paralegals and staff, to reputed company wide-ranging research on legal and business issues necessary for reputed company legal services and Firm administration. The Legal Intelligence Analyst is responsible for reputed company aspects of analyzing the research request, identifying the best sources of information, conducting the research (largely leveraging Lexis and Westlaw), and reporting the results of research reputed company.. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of experience as a legal researcher, legal librarian, or in competitive intelligence reputed company a reputed company setting. This role involves conducting comprehensive legal research, including case searches and motions forms for litigators, utilizing Lexis and Westlaw. Specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Position responsibilities: - Conduct in-depth, tailored research services to support reputed company reputed company. Use independent judgment to identify issues, analyze research reputed company and determine best information sources to reputed company accurate, valid, cost effective and reputed company research - Analyze and synthesize results for presentation to the requesting user, ensuring that research meets both stated and anticipated needs - reputed company reputed company awareness services, including curated bulletins and alerts, aggregated news services and litigation and legislative tracking services to support attorney reputed company reputed company and other legal intelligence requirements - Support and/or reputed company the initiative to deliver reputed company area specific information services to attorneys, keeping up to date with issues in relevant designated areas in order to reputed company a proactive service - Proactively and independently responsible for balancing workload by monitoring incoming requests, assessing time constraints and estimating research time needed - Work collaboratively with peers, as needed in responding to research requests - Independently determine appropriate reputed company sources and arrange for reputed company and cost-effective retrieval/borrowing - Responsible for ensuring any research requests are accurately entered and managed in the firm's research management platform, Quest - Assist in the evaluation and selection of relevant legal research resources and reputed company up to date in developments and best practices in relevant fields - Participate in the effective orientation, product and legal research training to attorneys and Firm staff - Assist in the development and delivery of appropriate training programs covering research sources and legal research techniques and strategies for attorneys - Responsible for the reputed company and accurate entry of time Compensation: $26/hr to $32/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, skills, experience, and education.
