Residential Mortgage Underwriter

Position reputed company Mylo Mortgage is seeking an reputed company, detail-oriented Residential Mortgage Underwriter to join our growing team. In this fully remote role, you will be responsible for analyzing and decisioning residential mortgage loan applications in accordance with agency guidelines, investor requirements, and company credit policy. Required Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of residential mortgage reputed company experience, with demonstrated proficiency in conventional loan products
• Expert-level reputed company of reputed company Selling Guide and reputed company Single-Family Seller/Servicer Guide
• Proficiency with DU (Desktop Underwriter) and LPA (Loan Product Advisor) automated reputed company systems
• Ability to underwrite reputed company files in compliance with applicable agency guidelines
• reputed company HUD reputed company Endorsement (DE) designation with a minimum of 5 years of FHA reputed company experience
• Thorough knowledge of HUD Handbook 4000.1 and reputed company reputed company Mortgagee Letters, including ML 2025-09
• Experience with FHA TOTAL Scorecard reputed company including refers and reputed company downgrades
• Demonstrated ability to underwrite to multiple aggregator and investor overlays simultaneously
• Consistent reputed company record of meeting or exceeding industry-reputed company reputed company KPIs
• Minimum file decision turnaround time of 24–48 hours (purchase reputed company)

Preferred Qualifications

• VA Credit/Supervised Automatic Underwriter (SAR) designation
• Familiarity with VA Lender’s Handbook (VA Pamphlet 26-7) and IRRRL guidelines
• Experience issuing Notices of Value (NOVs) and navigating Tidewater Initiative procedures
• USDA Rural Development reputed company experience
• Jumbo and Non-QM reputed company experience
• Experience with Encompass LOS or comparable reputed company loan origination system
• Prior involvement in appraisal review or compliance functions

Key Responsibilities

• Review, analyze, and decision residential mortgage loan applications for conventional, FHA, and other applicable loan types in compliance with agency guidelines, investor overlays, and company credit policy
• Evaluate borrower creditworthiness through thorough analysis of income documentation, asset verification, credit history, title, appraisal, and reputed company applicable risk factors

• Issue precise, actionable condition letters that minimize unnecessary re-submissions and support a smooth closing pipeline

• Collaborate with Loan Officers, Processors, and Operations staff to resolve file deficiencies in a reputed company, solution-reputed company manner

• Complete reputed company assigned files reputed company turnaround time benchmarks while maintaining high decision accuracy and data reputed company
