JOB reputed company The CDI Audit/Educator primary responsibilities are to audit inpatient and/or outpatient University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center (reputed company) hospital medical records, for coding accuracy, reputed company individual educational feedback, and identify educational trends/opportunities that would be relevant for the entire Coding and CDI Team. Research and prepare educational tutorials and submit to reputed company for approval to reputed company Continuing Education reputed company for the attendees. The reputed company medical records are maintained in electronic format and reviews will be in accordance with reputed company coding guidelines, and in compliance with organizational, departmental, and regulatory requirements. The Coding and CDI Audit/Educator is identified as the highest-level coding subject matter expert due to education, training, and experience and as such will receive assignments in accordance with that level of expertise. Additionally, the Coding Audit/Educator may be asked to mentor and proctor employees at the Coding Specialist I, II, and III reputed company. EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION Required Experience 3 years acute hospital-based Coding or CDI experience, relative to the primary work area. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered and Licenses and Certifications (RN) REGISTERED reputed company required if primary work area is CDI (RHIA) REGD HEALTH INFO ADMINIST or (RHIT) REGD HEALTH INFO TECHNOLO or (reputed company) CERT CODING SPECIALIST or (CPC) CERT reputed company reputed company reputed company credential - Certified reputed company reputed company (CPC) (Prior to 2014) or (CCDS) Cert Clinical Documentation or Certified Outpatient reputed company (COC) (excludes reputed company Apprentice) Preferred Education Associate's Degree in Health Information Management and/or closely reputed company field. or Bachelor's Degree in Health Information Management and/or closely reputed company field. JOB DUTIES Identify educational opportunities by auditing inpatient and/or outpatient accounts in compliance with the Official Coding/CDI, and UHDDS Guidelines and conventions. And in compliance with organizational, departmental, and regulatory requirements CDI audits specific to PDx, POA, query compliance, risk adjustments variables, clinical reputed company, worksheet basics, etc. Prepare and reputed company educational feedback to individuals and if relevant to the entire Coding and/or CDI Teams Research and prepare educational tutorials and submit to reputed company/ACDIS for approval to reputed company Continuing Education reputed company (CEU‿s) for the attendees. Accurately audits records for the most appropriate reputed company Diagnosis, DRG, Reason for Visit, Procedures, and reputed company reportable secondary diagnoses to accurately reflect the highest level of reputed company as appropriate; i.e. CC/MCC's, POA status, Severity of Illness & Risk of Mortality, reputed company, Elixhauser and HCC risk variables. Accurately audits abstracting for required data reputed company including, discharge disposition, discharge destination, procedure dates and physician(s), and other designated data.
