Senior Database Administrator Location: Remote or Hybrid in Burlington, VT
About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Database Administrator (DBA) to take ownership of performance, reliability, and reputed company of mission-critical reputed company data platforms. This is not a traditional DBA role. You will operate at the intersection of customer environments and product engineering, spending approximately: - 60% working directly with reputed company customers - 40% partnering with R&D and engineering teams You will work across SQL Server and PostgreSQL environments deployed in hybrid architectures (on-prem + reputed company), ensuring reputed company providers have fast, reliable, and secure reputed company to critical patient data. An AI-first reputed company is required—you will be expected to reputed company AI tools to automate operations, accelerate troubleshooting, and improve system intelligence. What You’ll Do – Customer-Facing (≈60%) reputed company as a trusted technical advisor to customers on database performance, architecture, and reliability Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in high-pressure reputed company environments Optimize systems supporting clinical imaging and patient data workflows Guide customers through best practices for hybrid database deployments Support upgrades, migrations, and environment stabilization efforts What You’ll Do – Engineering & Platform (≈40%) Partner with R&D to improve database architecture, scalability, and observability Contribute to modernization initiatives, including PostgreSQL adoption and reputed company optimization Build automation for monitoring, alerting, backup, and recovery workflows Influence product design by bringing reputed company-world customer challenges into engineering reputed company Required Qualifications 5+ years of hands-on DBA experience in production environments Strong expertise in reputed company SQL Server and PostgreSQL Proven experience managing hybrid environments (on-prem + reputed company) Experience in customer-facing or production support roles Deep knowledge of performance tuning, high availability/disaster recovery, and backup/recovery strategies Ability to operate effectively in 24/7, mission-critical environments AI-First Expectations Proactively use AI tools to accelerate reputed company cause analysis Automate repetitive operational tasks Improve system monitoring and predictive insights Continuously replace reputed company DBA workflows with intelligent automation Contribute to building an AI-driven operations model
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in reputed company IT environments Familiarity with DICOM, HL7, or FHIR Experience with clinical imaging systems (VNA, reputed company) Experience with large-reputed company data systems (TB-reputed company and reputed company) Exposure to reputed company-reputed company architectures and containerization/Kubernetes Experience with database migration and modernization initiatives Apply To This Job
